When your AC quits in July or your furnace stalls in February, the crew that shows up matters as much as the equipment they carry. Our Brooklyn team is small enough that you’ll recognize a face on a repeat visit, and senior enough that we’ve seen just about every heating and cooling quirk this borough’s buildings can throw at us, from pre-war radiators repurposed as closets to rooftop condensers squeezed between water towers. Every technician carries the same three commitments: a written price before work starts, shoe covers and drop cloths inside your home, and a photo of the cleanup before we leave. Those aren’t optional. They’re the job.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been turning wrenches on HVAC systems for 14 years, the last six of them in Brooklyn. He holds EPA 608 universal certification and has factory training from Carrier and Trane, which means he can diagnose a failing compressor board without guessing. Marcus is the guy we send when another company walked away from a repair, because he enjoys tricky wiring and old ductwork that makes no sense on paper. Outside of work he restores vintage amplifiers and claims the patience transfers directly to troubleshooting thermostats.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana leads our AC installation projects across Brooklyn neighborhoods, handling everything from window-unit replacements in Park Slope brownstones to full central-air installs in Midwood split-levels. She has NATE certification in air conditioning installation and specializes in duct sealing and airflow testing, often finding 20 to 30 percent leakage in existing runs before the new equipment even goes in. Dana is meticulous about protecting floors and furniture during installations, laying drop cloths from the entry door to the work area before the first tool comes out. She keeps a running list of the best bodega sandwiches near every job site and is rarely wrong.
Elena V., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice on the phone when you call Meadowsweet Heating and Air Brooklyn at (315) 873-2984, at any hour. She’s been dispatching HVAC crews for eight years and knows the difference between a clogged condensate line and a failed compressor just from your description, which means she can tell you honestly whether it’s worth a same-day visit or something we can schedule the next morning. Elena coordinates parts pickup, permit paperwork, and the cleanup photo that gets sent before the crew pulls away. She never puts a caller into a voicemail queue, and she will remember your dog’s name if you mention it once.
Andre P., Apprentice
Andre joined the team two years ago through a local trade program and works alongside Marcus and Dana on both repairs and installations. He’s EPA-certified for refrigerant handling and spends a lot of his week training on the nine equipment brands we service, including Goodman, Rheem, and Daikin. Andre is the one who double-checks that the shoe covers are on, the drop cloths are down, and the door is closed so nobody’s cat makes a break for Carroll Gardens. He grew up in a fourth-floor walk-up without central air, which he says explains both his career choice and his strong feelings about proper insulation.
One Standard, Every Job
The Cedarwell Care Promise is a system, not a personality. Every Meadowsweet location, including Brooklyn, runs the same C.A.R.E. code: Clean up like it’s their own home, Ask before moving anything, Respect the family’s time and quiet hours, Explain the price before the work. Luis Serrano, owner at Meadowsweet Heating and Air Brooklyn, holds the crew to that standard on every single call, because the job isn’t done when the air blows cold. It’s done when your floors are clean, your pets are safe, your sleeping kids never heard a thing, and you have a photo proving the work area looks better than we found it. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise in practice.
